The Alabama Crimson Tide women’s golf team brought home another victory, this one coming from Hilton Head, South Carolina. Alabama ranked second in the nation, at the time, won the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate Tournament this past Sunday.

The team went into the final day of play in third place, after shooting a 297 in the first round and a 288 in the second round. The leader on the final day and seven shots ahead were the Commodores of Vanderbilt. LSU was holding down second place, with Alabama five shots behind them.

Our girls rallied on the final day to post a final round total of 291, second lowest round of the day. This was enough to jolt our girls to the top and take the victory. Junior Stephanie Meadow played a big part in the Tides victory this weekend. After posting a round of 77 on the first day, she bounced back strong finishing the second round with a one-under par 70 and final round of 67.  This win gave the Tide back-to-back wins at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate Tournament and three tournaments wins in their last four.

To go along with their hot streak, Golfweek named the Girls the number one team in the nation this week.

Alabama is kicking off another tournament this weekend, in Gainesville, Florida. They are participating
