Volunteer Opportunities
Playlist DJ
Playlist DJ's man the station's regular rotation of music. They announce songs played, point out upcoming events and answer the request line. Playlist DJs are the heroes of WVUA-FM's day shifts.
Specialty Hosts
Specialty Host create programs that are unique to their time slot. Whether featuring a music genre or community affairs/talk programming, specialty hosts bring life and flavor to the WVUA-FM schedule.
Podcaster
Much like our specialty hosts, podcasters cover topics that are not a part of our typical broadcasts. Since these programs are not broadcasted, there is more flexibility in topics and program length.
Music Staff
Our music staff assists the music director in reviewing and selecting the music that appears in WVUA-FM's daily playlist.
Production Staff
The production staff aids the podcasters during the recording and post-production process. They also create all pre-recorded elements heard on our broadcasts.
Digital Media
The Digital Media staff creates content for our websites and social media.
Sports On-air
The sports on-air staff provides commentary for The Student Section, our daily talk show, and podcasts.
Sports Digital
The sports digital media staff creates content for Gameday, our sports site, and our sports social media.
