Another game day is upon us as the Crimson Tide gets set to take on North Texas. Get into the Bama football mood this Saturday by tuning into WVUA-FM. 90.7 The Capstone features Tide Tailgate Tunes all day and Crimson Tide GameDay starts at Noon, Tuscaloosa’s only commercial free tailgate station, with scoreboard updates every 15 minutes and weather & traffic updates at the bottom of each hour. GameDay also includes commentary previewing the day’s game and other games from around the Southeastern Conference all leading up to 40 minutes before kickoff.

Dave Hart, the University of Alabama’s executive director of athletics, has been accepted the position of vice chancellor and athletic director at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
Hart served as athletic director at Florida State University from 1995 until 2007, when he his contract was not renewed due to an academic scandal that was wide spread throughout the Seminole athletic program. After his stint at FSU came to an end, Mal Moore convinced Hart to come back to his alma mater and serve as executive director of athletics.

After speculation throughout the weekend, Texas A&M University announced Wednesday that it will submit an application to join a new athletic conference and if accepted, will end its 16-year relationship with the Big 12 on June 30, 2012.

Alabama head softball coach Patrick Murphy named Adam Arbour as a volunteer assistant coach for the upcoming season. Arbour comes to the program from the University of Michigan, where he played on the Wolverine baseball team and was a manager for the softball team.
