The Alabama SPCA is a newly formed, 501(c)(3) charitable organization based in Tuscaloosa and serving the state of Alabama. Alabama SPCA programs focus on the rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption of homeless animals, spay/neuter assistance, humane education, and advocacy. The Alabama Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will hold its monthly Pooches on the Porch event at Innisfree Irish Pub on Tuesday, January 10th from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.  This month they will tailgate and celebrate the Tide’s season the day after the BCS National Championship game.  People are encouraged to bring their dogs for drinks and dinner on the patio. Alabama SPCA adoptable dogs will also be in attendance.
