90.7 is getting into the democratic spirit. We have two events airing to raise awareness of the upcoming Student Government Association election. On Monday, March 7th, 2011 starting at 12:00pm, 90.7 The Capstone will host a Question and Answer with the SGA presidential candidates during the specialty show “Corolla on Campus.” Listeners are encouraged to submit questions via Facebook. Then starting at 7:00pm that day, 90.7 will have coverage of the SGA Presidential debate live from the North End-zone of Bryant Denny Stadium.
Join us as Dale Petterson, 2010 candidate for Alabama Agricultural Commissioner, will host the Presidential Debate between Grant Cochran and Coresa Nancy Hogan. Big AL will also be on hand for some entertainment. Sitting in as the panel will be four students from various organizations on campus. These students include Ashley Getwan (Panhellenic Council), Richard Cockrum (Anderson Society), Alex Hollinghead (Spectrum), and a fourth panelist that has yet to be announced.
