Frequently Asked Questions
-What is Tuscapalooza?

90.7FM is holding an on-air music concert called Tuscapalooza where we will play 12 straight hours of Tuscaloosa’s local talent! It will be LIVE on-air and, instead of going out to one specific venue, you can have Tuscapalooza anywhere you go that Sunday night! It will be available on your radio and on our internet stream.

-Where is Tuscapalooza located?

Over your radio waves or on your internet! The actual event will be happening in the WVUA-FM 90.7 studios… central time!

-What is the main goal of Tuscapalooza?

For local artists to come together on the radio. Radio is a very powerful medium in any community and having Tuscapalooza on-air, instead of a venue, will be free to all, no age limits, nowhere to drive, and no venue to show up at. A 12-hour time block where the station drops its regular format and reaches entirely out to the community. Listen in your car, at home, in the shower, on the internet, and anywhere!

-Is it free?

If you have a radio or the internet…. YES!

-When will the band line up be posted?

Attention bands!!! We will provide a mixer board that can be used to plug in guitars, etc as long as you have quarter inch hook ups. No amps! We are encouraging bands to be on the more acoustic side of the spectrum because there is not space for a drum set, only hand held drums. The room your band will be setting up in will be 6 1/2 feet by 10 feet (estimated).
