Chipper Jones will be back with the Braves in 2012.
The seven-time All-Star told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Friday that he would indeed be with the club next season, ending speculation that he would retire with a year left on his contract.

LSU Quarterback Involved in Bar Fight

Louisiana State quarterback Jordan Jefferson was involved in an early-morning fight outside a local bar Friday, Baton Rouge Police have confirmed.
Sgt. Don Stone said police are investigating whether Jefferson was a suspect or a victim in the incident which occurred between 1:30 a.m.-2 a.m. at Shady’s, a bar south of LSU’s campus.

2011-12 Crimson Tide Basketball Schedule Announced

Crimson Tide head coach Anthony Grant released the University of Alabama men’s basketball schedule for the upcoming season Thursday afternoon. The 2011-2012 slate features 11 nationally televised games, with a possibility for more.

Soccer Coverage Returning to WVUA-FM

WVUA-FM is proud to announce the return of live Alabama Soccer coverage to its lineup this fall. 90.7, the Capstone Sports Authority, will broadcast nine soccer matches live over the airwaves this season with an additional two matches available online. Coverage starts with the season opener Friday at 7 p.m. against Kennesaw State.
