Some injuries had the practice rotation looking a little different as Alabama took to the practice field for the first time in preparation for the Tennessee Volunteers. Here are some observations from the practice viewing period, with video at the bottom.

– Cornerback Bradley Sylve was kept out of practice with a high ankle sprain he suffered in the win over Arkansas. Sylve rode the exercise bike with strength and conditioning coach Scott Cochran away from all of the drills and was still walking with a very noticeable limp. You can see that and more in the video posted below.

– Also on the injury front, running back Altee Tenpenny was held out of drills with turf toe. Tenpenny seems much less limited than Sylve, but turf toe is a difficult injury to predict. We should get more information on Tenpenny’s status for the Tennessee game on Wednesday.

– Earlier in the day, Saban confirmed that Vinnie Sunseri will be out for the remainder of the season. This puts HaHa Clinton-Dix as the starting free safety and Landon Collins as Sunseri’s replacement at strong safety. Geno Smith and Jarrick Williams will serve as back-ups.
