At approximately 1:45 AM Thursday morning, a banner promoting SGA candidates Elliot Spiller and Tate Thomas was stolen from the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity house. The entire incident was captured on security camera and showed two unidentified males taking the banner and quickly fleeing the scene. The video was sent to both the UA PD and the SGA Elections board who have not yet responded with a comment. ATO President Connor Herfurth stated that “We [ATO] are disappointed that someone would do something like that,” and that he “Would like to move on and focus on the positive aspects of the campaign.”
There are currently no suspects in the theft and the investigation is ongoing. More information will be added as is made available. Below is a link to the video from the ATO camera that depicts the incident.
