“Following a chance meeting with Mississippi music legend, Jimbo Mathus, she began taking progressive guitar lessons from him. This led to more performing opportunities and a recording session at Zebra Ranch. She continues to work with Jimbo on her new songs and considers his mentorship a big factor in how she has grown as an artist.

Elliott’s sound is heavily influenced by rock bands such as Sonic Youth, The Velvet Underground and The Strokes. Elements of Stevie Nicks, Joni Mitchell and Fiona Apple can be heard in Elliott’s clear airy voice. She strives to discover more diverse sounds to add to her ever-growing and unique tone.”
