> 7:00- Both teams enter the field and begin drills

 

> 7:15- Both teams exit the field as pre game is over. Official kickoff time: 7:36

 

>7:30- Weather update: 63 degrees, winds coming from the south at 7 MPH. Will drop down to 59 by the end of game

 

>7:32- Alabama enters the field from the south end zone

 

>7:34- Tennessee enters the field from the north end zone

 

>7:35- Alabama wins the toss, defers to the 2nd half, Tennessee will receive from the north end zone. It’s game time folks!

 

FIRST QUARTER 

 

> Tennessee to begin drive from their own 33 yard line

Tennesse begins their first drive strong with two first downs by Jalen Hurd. From their Jarrick Williams is able to get a hand on the ball leading to a third down for Tennessee. On third down, Xavier Dickson comes up with the sack, forcing Tennessee to punt.

 

> Alabama to begin drive from their own 20

Scoring Drive- (1 play 80 yards, :13 Seconds ) Alabama-6, Tennessee-0

On the first play, Blake Sims finds Amari Cooper for a six yard reception. From there, Cooper turns on the wheels as he finds his way into the end zone with an 80 yard touchdown reception. after a false start by the offense, Adam Griffith misses the extra point.

 

>Tennessee to begin drive from their own 25 yard line

Tennessee still can’t find their rhythm as Nathan Peterman and Jalen Hurd gain only eight yards and go three and out. Tennessee punts once again

 

>Alabama to begin drive from their own 21 yard line

Scoring Drive- (7 plays 79 yards, 2:09) Alabama 13, Tennessee-0

On a third down, Blake Sims finds Amari Cooper for a 13 yard first down pass. On another third down, Sims finds Cooper for a 21 yard gain. Next play Sims finds Cooper for a 41 yard touchdown. Adam Griffith makes the PAT.

 

> Tennessee to begin drive from their own 25 yard line

Tennessee puts in sophomore Joshua Dobbs still finds issues on the offense. Although Dobbs gained a first down off an 11 yard pass to Jalen Hurd, he is stopped by Ryan Anderson and Reggie Ragland on three plays, forcing Tennessee to punt again.

 

> Alabama to begin drive from their own 25 yard line

Scoring Drive- (9 plays, 90 yard, 4:00) Alabama-20, Tennessee-0 

On this drive, DeAndrew White find himself in the mix with two first down receptions from Blake Sims. Next play Sims finds Amari Cooper for a 30 yard gain leading towards a four yard touchdown run by TJ Yeldon. Adam Griffith hits the PAT.

 

> Tennessee to begin drive from their own 23 yard line

Joshua Dobbs decides to take the offense into his own hand with a five yard run leading to a 25 yard first down to Alex Ellis. After that, Dobbs can’t find Jalen Hurd or Josh Malone leading towards another Tennessee punt.

 

> Alabama to begin drive from their own 11 yard line

After a first down run by Derrick Henry, Blake Sims goes 0-3 on the drive forcing Alabama to finally punt.

 

Second Quarter

 

>Tennessee to begin drive from their own 12 yard line

Josuha Dobbs decides to trust his legs on a third down drive for a 30 yard gain. From their Alabama’s defense once again turns Tennessee in mince-meat with a fumble caused by Reggie Ragland and a 16 recovery by Eddie Jackson

 

>Alabama to begin  drive from Tennessee 34 yard line

Scoring Drive (3 plays, 34 yard, :45 seconds) Alabama-27, Tennessee-0

After a miss throw by Blake Sims, Sims decides to head to the races with a 28 yard touchdown run. Adam Griffith hits the PAT

 

>Tennessee to begin drive from their own 17 yard line

Scoring Drive- (10 plays 84 yards, 4:54) Alabama-27, Tennessee-0

After a nine yard run by Jalen Hurd, he then makes a one yard run for a first down. On third down, Josh Dobbs finally makes a 28 yard first down completion to Pig Howard. Next play Marlin Lane runs 44 yards setting them up in the goal line. On third down, Dobbs finally gets his touchdown to Josh Malone on a nine yard pass. Aaron Medley hits the PAT.

 

>Alabama to begin drive from their own 28 yard line

 

After a first down run by Jalston Fowler, the Crimson Tide defense is pushed back to 3rd and 20. After a dropped pass by TJ Yeldon, JK Scott comes out to punt again for the Tide.

 

> Tennessee to begin drive from their own 31 yard line. 

Scoring Drive- (12 plays, 59 yards, 3:53)- Alabama-27, Tennessee-10

Joshua Dobbs comes out once again trusting his feet for a first down run close to Alabama territory. After a penalty on Cyrus Jones, Tennessee makes their way once again into Alabama turf. Dobbs then finds Marquez North for a 20 yard gain putting them in red zone. After a time-out by Tennessee, Linebacker AJ Johnson comes into wildcat formation and gain zero yards, forcing Tennessee to settle for a 27 yard field goal from Aaron Medley as the teams go into halftime scoring.

 

HALFTIME- ALABAMA-27, TENNESSEE-10

 

THIRD QUARTER

 

>Alabama to begin drive from their own 17 yard line

After an 18 yard gain by DeAndrew White, Alabama is put in a 3rd and 2 and is stopped in the wildcat formation. JK Scott once again to punt third time in a row. Cam Robison injured on the drive, most likely won’t return.

 

>Tennessee to begin drive from their own 20 yard line

Scoring Drive (15 plays, 84 yards, 6:46) Alabama-27, Tennessee-17

After a first down run by Hurd, Alabama safety Landon Collins heads into the locker room. With a new set of downs, Hurd and Dobbs try to push their way for a first down but are unsuccessful setting up third down. Dobbs manages to North again for a 22 yard gain. On third down again, Dobbs gains another first down setting up Tennessee in Alabama territory. Dobbs keeps the drive alive on third down with a huge run setting up a goal line formation for the Vols. On third once again finds Von Pearson for a nine yard touchdown pass. Aaron Medley hits the PAt. Tennessee went 5-5 on third down that drive.

 

>Alabama to begin from their own  24 yard line 

Scoring drive (13 plays, 76 yards, 5:33) Alabama-34, Tennessee-17

Alabama still struggles on this drive but manages a first down thanks to TJ Yeldon. With a new set of downs, on third down once again, Yeldon makes it over the line once again for a first down. Once again Alabama is pushed to third down and gain another first down on a gusty run by Blake Sims. On the fourth consecutive third down, Sims finds Amari Cooper for a first down. Next play, Derrick Henry makes a cut and runs it 28 yards into the end zone for a touchdown. Adam Griffith nails the PAT.

 

>Tennessee to begin drive from their own 25 yard line

Jalen Hurd gains one as the clock expires heading into the 4th quarter.

 

FOURTH QUARTER

>Tennessee to begin drive from their own 26 yard line

After the run by Hurd, Joshua Dobbs overthrows both his receivers forcing a three and out punt by Tennessee.

 

>Alabama to begin drive from their own 40 yard line 

Finally Alabama begins to play like they did in the first quarter after a 16 yard first down by DeAndrew White. On third down again, Blake Sims is sacked by Curt Maggit, forcing Alabama to punt.

 

>Tennessee to start from their own 16 yard line

Joshua Dobbs once again finds his way for a first down. One play later, Dobbs tries to go deep to Marquez North and is intercepted by Cyrus Jones. Ball goes back to Alabama with a little over 11 minutes to play.

 

>Alabama to start from their own 30 yard line

After the interception, Blake Sims muffs the handoff to Derrick Henry and is recovered by Tennessee. The Vols are now in great position.

 

>Tennessee to begin drive from their own 29 yard line

Scoring Drive (6 plays, 17 yards 2:03) Alabama-34, Tennessee-20

After a first down run by Joshua Dobbs. Tennessee is stopped after Marquez North drops a touchdown in the end zone. Tennessee settles for a 22 yard field goal by Adam Medley.

 

>Alabama to begin drive from their own 22 yard line

First play Blake Sims finds his favorite target Amari Cooper for a 14 yard first down. On third down, Sims tucks it and runs eight yards for the first down. After a pass interference by Justin King, Blake Sims takes a risk and runs it for a first down.  Now in the redone, on third down, Derrick Henry pushes his way for a first down leading to a fumble by Jalston Fowler as he almost steps in the end zone.

 

>Tennessee to begin drive from their own 1 yard line

Joshua Dobbs tries one last time to get Tennessee on the board, driving the Vols all the way down into Alabama’s redone. Unfortunately, the magic clock ran out as Alabama holds on stopping them in three straight plays
