Rap/Hip Hop/Rhythmic artists/promoters interested in airplay on Wide World Of Hip Hop can send electronic submissions to music.hiphop@wvuafm.ua.edu.

Please include a bio, one page is fine, just enough so that we know a little more about you.

Also, include a track listing and indicate any tracks that have defamatory, profane, indecent or obscene material. You may also want to point out which tracks you feel are your strongest.

Music submitted must be of broadcast quality. FLAC files should not be created from MP3 files or other lossy file formats such as MP4 and OGG. FLAC files should be either created from CD ripping, uncompressed audio formats (WAV) conversion or other lossless file conversion (ALAC). MP3 submissions must have a bit rate of 320 kbps and a sample rate of 44.100 kHz.

Music submitted will not be returned.

WVUA also now accepts submissions through the media distribution service Play MPE.

The Music Director has established office hours for dealing with artists and labels. Artists and labels are encouraged to respect those windows. Please be aware that our programmers have many competing demands on their time and thus may not be able to return all calls or respond to all correspondence, particularly within time periods artists or labels might desire.
