Whether or not society is ready to bid farewell to the vampires and werewolves of The Twilight Saga, the final installment of the film franchise is finishing strong after earning the top box office spot again over Thanksgiving weekend, grossing over $577.7 million worldwide.
Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2 knocked Skyfall down to the second spot, with Lincoln, Rise of the Guardians and Life of Pi rounding up the top five.
Despite the film’s fair share of unfavorable reviews, the dedicated fan base will surely keep Stephanie Meyer’s novel-turned-film franchise cemented in the number one spot.
