When it first premiered about 90 minutes before the Western Kentucky game, a compilation of home videos of Alabama fans celebrating the Tide’s 2011 BCS national championship win was met with cheers from those already in the stadium – mostly students filling up the student section. As the song “Some Nights” by the band Fun. played in the background, the fans in the video danced, twirled their shirts over their heads and ran around screaming.
“Built by Passion,” overlayed text on the video read. “Built by You. Built by Bama.”
Despite its popularity among students, the video disappeared from the stadium’s pre-game lineup after the Ole Miss game on Sept. 29.
