After this week’s horrendous tornadoes, the community is inventing ways to help and provide immediate relief effort. We, as a station, are trying to gain support to have a local music benefit show to raise funds for the Tuscaloosa disaster relief effort. Currently, the United Way is on board, and we will soon be meeting with some University of Alabama officials to hopefully get permission to host it on campus. The projected date and time for the benefit concert as of now is looking to be Saturday, May 14, 11:00am lasting through 10:00pm. This event has the potential to be a great success. The Roll Tide Relief Benefit Show would help victims, as well as expose local original artists to a mass crowd. The artists performing are not set in stone and the list is subject to change, but some possible artists include: Glibella, A2Z, American Freshman, and We Killed the Dinosaurs.   If you want to help volunteer, play music, display your art, or are just interested, let us know with a simple message to Rich Godwin or Gary Hutchinson.
