Almost King, a hip-hop/rock band based out of Atlanta, will be performing at Rounders this Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 8pm, CST. Almost King has opened for acts such as Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, Drowning Pool, Everlast, Framing Hanley, Fuel, Halestorm, Molly Hatchet, Rehab, Sevendust, Stone Sour, TrustCompany, and Vanilla Ice.

Over the course of 2008, Almost Kings independently recorded and produced their album “Filthy Nice”. The album was released in February of 2009 and since then has sold over 10,000 units at shows & on iTunes.

“We’re excited to finally have Almost Kings visit Tuscaloosa. It has been a much anticipated event and the 90.7 staff and I will be there at 8pm sharp!” says Claire Brucker, station manager of WVUA-FM. Brucker will be conducting a live interview with Almost King on Thursday at 3pm, CST.

Almost Kings will also be performing with local Tuscaloosa band Within Reason. Within Reason has released two albums including “Bloodshot Life”, which was  produced by platinum producer Rick Beato in 2009. Within Reason has opened for bands such as Hinder, Chevelle, Saliva, Saving Abel, 10 Years, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Plain White T’s, Crossfade, Framing Hanley, Pop Evil, Days of New, Halestorm, Blues Traveler, 12 Stones, Black Stone Cherry, and Rehab, Aranda.
