TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – When the No. 2 ranked Alabama gymnastics team faces off against No. 14 Penn State this Friday it will mark the first time since the 2008 season that the Crimson Tide has opened its season in the friendly confines of Coleman Coliseum.
In addition to introducing its eight freshman and nine veterans, Alabama’s first meet will once again feature a wide variety of giveaways, contests and other exciting features that make Tide meets the hottest ticket in town. Among the giveaways Friday night will be eight iPod Shuffles, an iPad, gift certificates and Tuscaloosa Toyota 9.8 t-shirts among many others.
The meet is the first of five Tuscaloosa Toyota Fun Family Fridays which includes the Tuscaloosa Toyota Best Seat in the House where one lucky fan and will win an LCD television and will watch the meet, with their guests, from the floor.
Tuscaloosa Toyota will also give away eight $50 gift certificates and two iPads to University of Alabama students. The first 150 students will also have the chance to sit in the Ten Troupe section on the floor and receive a free Alabama Ten Troupe shirt.
After the meet there will be a kid’s autograph session, where the gymnasts will sign the 2011 schedule poster which will be given away prior to the meet.
Fans can take advantage of the Family Fun Packs through the Alabama Ticket office which allows fans to purchase four tickets, four hot dogs and four drinks for $30. The ticket pack must be purchased by Thursday, Jan. 6th
